What Blue Oceans stands for is threefold. Firstly, it relates to its global character, secondly it sort of represents the owners background, and thirdly it refers to a recent INSEAD / HARVARD study saying companies can succeed not only by battling competitors, but rather by creating ″blue oceans″ of uncontested market space, thus emphasizing an opportunity and engagement based approach.
